An Editorial Checklist for Partner Content

Partner content should meet the same basic quality expectations as any other article.

Start with seven checks: the topic fits the publication; the article is original; factual claims can be verified; the title accurately represents the content; links are relevant; promotional language is limited; and the commercial relationship is disclosed where required.

Editors should also look for hidden risks. These include copied sections, unverifiable statistics, misleading guarantees, unsafe downloads and links that redirect to a different destination after approval.

A documented review process makes decisions consistent. It also gives contributors clear reasons when revisions are needed and protects the publication from becoming a collection of unrelated advertisements.
